People can only reach you by entering a Personal Identification Number (PIN), which you provide them with. Do not disturb is primarily used to prevent unwanted interruptions, such as telemarketing calls. To activate the do not disturb feature: Dial * 7 8 then listen for a high pitched tone and hang up. When do not disturb is activated, callers will receive a busy signal or an announcement. At this time, callers who know your PIN may dial it to get through to you. To cancel do not disturb: Dial * 7 9 then listen for three beeps, then hang up. To set or change your PIN: Dial # 8 7 then listen for three beeps and a steady dial tone. Enter PIN (maximum of seven digits). Depress # then listen for three beeps. Hang up. The PIN you select remains in effect until you change it or delete it. Canceling the do not disturb feature will not erase your PIN. |
